Let's be honest, the idea of building a lampshade only came about when we couldn't find a lampshade that really worked with the Ripple standard lamps that we'd built.   So we started to experiment.

We settled on a design that is functional in terms of controlled light delivery as well as providing a beautiful wooden extension to the lamp stands.   We use constructional veneer as it's thick enough to be robust, yet thin enough to let some of the light through, after warming it gently in a very natural filter .

Copernicus is light by design, so can also easily be hung from a ceiling pendant.
